WHO WE ARE

Scott and Fiona Peddie are the directors and senior consultants responsible for service delivery.


Dr. Scott Peddie
Scott has a BSc in Zoology (Marine & Fisheries Biology), an MSc in Aquaculture Business Management, a PhD in Fish Health/Immunology, is a chartered biologist (CBiol MIBiol) and member of the Institute of Fisheries Management (MIFM) in the UK.

Scott has held a range of positions in the Scottish, Norwegian, Irish and New Zealand salmon farming industries. These range from aquaculture development and R&D through to fish health and performance management. Scott has also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edinburgh and as an animal health economist at the Scottish Agricultural College (with a particular focus on fish health economics).

He is currently the editorial director of Aquaculture Health International, a director of the European Aquaculture Society, a director/trustee of the Aquaculture without Frontiers charity and the Chief Examiner for the Institute of Fisheries Management.

He has published a number of papers and articles on a wide range of fish health and aquaculture business management related topics. He has been an invited speaker at events held in Canada, New Zealand, Scotland and Turkey.

Scott can offer a range of consultancy and training services to aquaculture businesses and related organisations. Within Patterson Peddie Consulting Scott is the Managing Director and focuses specifically on fish health, fish health economics, aquaculture business management and technical writing.


C Fiona Peddie
Fiona has a BA in Spanish and Marketing and an MSc in International Food Marketing and Business Management. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and a qualified training assessor. Fiona was latterly a senior consultant and marketing lecturer at the Scottish Agricultural College. Previously she worked within the Scottish shellfish and food industries and has a particular interest in seafood marketing.

Fiona has published several papers and articles and has been an invited speaker at conferences and events held in Canada and Scotland.

Fiona can offer a range of consultancy and training services to individual businesses or other related organisations. As a Director within Patterson Peddie Consulting she focuses specifically on market research activities (including questionnaire design and surveys), marketing planning, project management, event management and tailored marketing training courses for the aquaculture industry. She sits on the board of Women on the Move  (North-East Antrim forum for female entrepreneurship) and is the Account Manager for Aquaculture Health International magazine.
